In addition to earning the badge of honour that comes with a Guinness World Record, for our organisation, the Z-Brand tyre represents our culture of innovation, our commitment
to quality and excellence, as well as our approach to creativity and experimentation. Beyond this, our world’s most expensive tyre remains a symbol of ‘what is possible’. At Vaculug, we believe embracing innovation, making advancements in technology and design, and pushing boundaries are all
key factors for growing a business that is competitive and economically sustainable.

CASE STUDY: GUINNESS WORLD RECORD FOR THE WORLD’S MOST EXPENSIVE TYRE
To showcase the highest quality of tyre manufacturing, performance, and innovation, we set out to create the world’s most expensive tyre. Inspired by an idea and a pursuit of excellence, we turned our idea
into reality with the production of gold and diamond studded Z-Brand tyre, which earned us a Guinness World Record for the world’s most expensive tyre.
The achievement allowed us to showcase
not only what we are capable of to our stakeholders, but more than that it demonstrated to the industry what is possible when organisations allow themselves the freedom to imagine ‘what could be possible’.
Parting with the traditional tried and tested approach to tyre manufacturing, to develop the world’s most expensive tyre we engaged one of the world’s most exclusive jewellers. The meticulous process combined 24 karat gold and specially selected diamond stones, which were then set and applied with the assistance of Joalillier Prive and its Italian artisan jewellers. For the final touches, the tyre was sent to the UAE for the application of gold leafing. In the end, a set of four
tyres were crafted, and were recognised by Guinness World Records as the “World’s Most Expensive Set of Car Tyres”, with a value of $600,000 US (for the set of four tyres).
CASE STUDY:
THE WORLD’S FIRST A-RATED RETREADED TYRE
In July 2021, Vaculug became the world’s first and only retreader to develop an A-Rated tyre. Our KT01 tyre, which is part of our fuel-saver Kinetik range, was verified as having a lower coefficient of rolling resistance that is required for A-rated tyres. The tyre was inspected and tested at the Idiada proving ground in Spain and was rated on its fuel efficiency.
Through our innovative approach and commitment to manufacturing excellence, we succeeded in integrating a special blend of silica in the tread which enabled us to push the limits of rolling resistance to save on fuel, while still ensuring quality performance and longevity of the tyre.
